The Uncommon Truth
Diversity is the backbone of Society and it should be encouraged

Diversity is a community that comprises a group of people
with different nationality, ethnicity, religious practices, sexual orientation/sexes,
and cultural practices. A diverse society is one, which recognizes this
difference in people, values it and also found strength in it. People of
different backgrounds, skills/expertise, experiences, attitudes bring fresh
ideas and add flavor to our very existence as humans.
The only thing we have in common other than vast majority of
the DNA sequence similarity we share is our diversity as a people. In general,
diversity has a huge benefit on society at large and it should be encouraged.
Some benefits of Diversity are:
1.
Gives people the opportunity to create new
experience that is unique from what they are accustomed to
2.
It enables the birth of new innovative
ideas/solutions that promotes the growth and sustainability of society
3.
It brings peace, love, togetherness and a sense
of belongingness to society
4.
Diversity and inclusion are key drivers for
employee attraction, engagement and retention resulting in improved business
performance
5.
Diversity promotes equitability and efficiency
in society
6.
It helps in the filling of professional shortage
in skills and talents
7.
Diversity acts like a flavor that gives us a
colorful society with a lot of varieties (without variety life will be boring
and there will be little or no room for difference in perspectives)
8.
Diversity is the only thing we have in common
other than DNA sequence
Conclusion, we are all created equally. There is nothing
about us biologically, psychologically, economically, cognitively, culturally,
genetically, socially, sexually, religiously, and academically that entails
innate superiority or inferiority over another. We should embrace our
differences, make it our strength and grow together as a people.
